It Will Come #2
It Will Come, 183 x 91.4 cm on Double Thick Canvas
I have always enjoyed creating different versions of one image, so here I have done just that. This series was a little different from what I’m used to. Instead of grabbing inspiration from the world around me, I decided to grab a couple photos (completely random photos that I had no connection to) and recreate them in pop art form. I wanted to create a piece and let the inspiration come to me whilst in the middle of working on this series.
While creating this series I found myself continuing to feel extremely stressed about the outcome. I was letting myself get too worked up and focused on the short term rather than the long term. I had to take myself away from the work and find myself again. Basically what I’m saying is that you just need to hang in there, it will come. Don't dwell on the short term outcome, as it all leads to a better long term result. It will come. -

Anguish
Anguish (Acrylic on canvas, 101.6 x 101.6cm)
Going back to a place in my own personal life had me gain inspiration for this particular piece. Experiencing heartache and distress just over one certain event can cause enough pain for a person to be feeling alone. But a few years ago I felt an enormous amount of stress and pain on my shoulders from multiple events happening at once.
This piece represents how a person can be trying to hide their feelings from the ones close to them. As seen in this piece the man has his back to everything in his sight and his hand trying to cover him. This shows how he is attempting to hide from the truth. -
Left Behind
Left behind (Acrylic on canvas, 101.6 x 101.6cm)
With the world where it is today, we seem to create too many distractions, problems and setbacks, which causes us to lose sight of our purpose in life. This particular piece aims to inspire and motivate people to just let go and eliminate all of these negative problems and distractions, just leave it all in the past, where it belongs. -
Antisocial Suicide
Antisocial Suicide (Acrylic on canvas, 101.6x101.6cm)
We have forgotten how to live a satisfied life. Technology is literally causing us to kill ourselves and block out those closest to us. I know this is a very much talked about topic, but it is a serious problem, people are brainwashed, addicted and controlled by the power of technology. This artwork needs to spark a revolution in change. I came across the idea for this piece when I was dining in at a local restaurant, when a couple near me were so involved in their phones, not even talking or acknowledging each other. Next time you are out, involve yourself in the moment, not your phone. -
A Damaged Society
A Damaged Society (Acrylic on canvas, 183x91cm)
We are a seriously damaged society, caused by the news and media. I want people to take one thing away from this artwork, don't be manipulated by the opinions of power and status. Over the last couple of years with everything that has been happening, society has become a community of sheep. Create your own news. Get your head out of the corrupt world of news and media and make your own memories. -
Empowerment
Empowerment (Acrylic on canvas, 101.6x101.6 each canvas)
This is a powerful artwork, it represents power, responsibility and strength. I have used a sudanese woman as a symbol of race and gender equality. I want people to know that they can find strength, responsibility and power no matter the race, gender, colour or sexuality of themselves. I was inspired with this idea when I was walking the city streets and came across a gender equality protest. I noticed a young sudanese woman so involved and dedicated to creating power and change, that it motivated me to stand up for what I believe in. -
Transition #1
Transition (Acrylic on canvas, 101.6x101.6cm)
Transition is a normal thing. This series portrays one man as he transitions through his younger years, on his way to becoming an adult. He starts as a young guy, then somewhere in the middle he begins to question his change, and then finally he accepts the transition. For most of us in 10 years from now we will have a completely different sense of direction and livelihood. I want this series to be a sign that it is okay to change/transition into a different person/life, don't hold back from change. Don't question change, let it happen. -

Self Comfort #2
Self Comfort (Acrylic on canvas, 91.4x91.4cm)
This series is all about self comfort. I created this from a place of self confidence and self love. I am very passionate about being and doing whatever makes you feel happy and most at ease. For example, doing things you love for a career, eating what you bloody want and wearing whatever the hell you want whenever the hell you want to. I always notice people following whatever the current ‘trend’ is. But is there really ever a current ‘trend’? It is always what people of status/power are doing/wearing/eating etc. I want this piece to show you that no matter how crazy or dull you are, you should always be whatever you WANT, Stay true. -
Comforting Gratitude #2
Comforting Gratitude (Acrylic on canvas, 91.4x91.4cm)he worldwide pandemic known as COVID19. As you know, this was a really tough time for most people. For me this time was surprisingly a lot harder than I'd imagined it being. I was actually doing quite well with business during the hard lockdowns, but I still had feelings of worry and sadness. I am usually a mentally strong individual, but towards the end of 2020 and midway through 2021 I struggled hard. With this series I wanted to show how the comfort of the people closest to you can have an astonishing impact on your mental health. Simply being comforted at the end of the day by the people closest to me helped me see past any worries. I also began to practice gratitude daily, eventually leading me into a much more positive mindset. I want you to take away one thing from this series. Appreciate what you have, and be grateful and remember to be grateful. The ideas for this series came from witnessing this one mother so invested in her baby, which made me feel incredibly grateful. Also inspiration came from within my own relationship, a relationship that I will forever be so grateful and happy for.
The varnish on #1 leaked and originally I was not happy, but that canvas being the representation of the hard times, I felt as though it was ironic how it was damaged. I eventually came to realise I didn't need to change this, as it better represents how life faded, and how I couldn't change things. -

Naturally Perfect
Naturally Perfect (Acrylic on canvas, 183x91cm each canvas)
I was extremely inspired to create this piece because of the current environmental problems we face. Humanity is failing, our home is slowly progressing towards its death. ‘Naturally Perfect’ is all about how we need to change our daily routines and habits for the earth. I am always so shocked at how we are not putting more time into exploring the real issues of the environment. Problems such as pollution, soil degradation, generating unsustainable waste and the most surprising one of all, commercial fishing. These are just a few. The biggest issues we face are all beneath our oceans. With this piece my aim is to start a conversation, a conversation that can lead to a personal environmental change.
Some confronting facts:
By 2070, the world’s coral reefs could be gone altogether
At least 8 million tons of plastic enter the oceans each year. That’s similar to emptying a garbage truck of plastic into the ocean every minute.
The worst problem for our oceans and world is commercial fishing.
Overfishing. One of the chief consequences of industrial fishing is that some species have been overfished to the point of near extinction.
Habitat Destruction. In addition to removing an increasingly large number of fish from the ocean, many industrial fishing practices also destroy aquatic habitat. -
