I’m beyond grateful for everyone who came out to the opening of my "Bleeding Thoughts" collection. Looking back, it was by far my biggest and most vulnerable show. For those who don’t know, in early 2022, I was diagnosed with anxiety and depression. Sharing this publicly wasn’t easy, and I’m not looking for sympathy, but I wanted to open up about it because mental health is something that’s too often left in the shadows.

The Bleeding Thoughts collection was born out of this very struggle. It’s a deeply personal body of work that reflects my own battles with mental health. The pieces explore the connection between emotional conflict and personal turmoil, drawing directly from my own experiences. This collection became a way for me to face my anxiety head-on and push myself far out of my comfort zone. My goal was simple: to inspire others to speak up and to play my part in breaking the stigma around mental health.

A Night of Art, Music, and Mental Health Awareness

The opening night was nothing short of incredible. I was joined by so many people who showed up to support the cause, and it honestly meant the world to me. The first 20 attendees received a special gift pack as a token of appreciation, and it was amazing to see how many people came together to make the night special.

It was a true honor to have Speak Share, an organization that’s been instrumental in my journey, present at the event. They led a small mental health workshop, providing a space for people to open up, share their stories, and start important conversations. We also had another guest speaker who has played a huge role in supporting me throughout this process. Their words left a lasting impact, and the entire evening felt like a collective moment of healing.

The event also had plenty of music, drinks, and food, creating a relaxed atmosphere for everyone to enjoy. The silent auction was a huge success, and I’m excited to share that a percentage of the sales went directly to Speak Share, helping them continue their vital work in mental health support.

Reflecting on the Collection

Looking back at the collection, I’m proud of what it represents. Bleeding Thoughts wasn’t just about creating art—it was about creating a conversation. Each piece tells a story about my own mental health journey, and I hope it inspired others to reflect on their own struggles and to seek support when they need it.

Thank you to everyone who came out to the opening and showed their passion for mental health. Your presence made this experience even more powerful, and I’m so thankful for the connections made that night. It was a huge step for me, and I’m humbled by the love and support that was shared.

If you weren’t able to attend, I hope you can check out the collection and continue the conversation. Together, we can break the stigma and make mental health a topic we can talk about openly and without fear.

Thank you again for being part of this journey with me.
