I’m thrilled to announce my recent collaboration with Evolve Skateboards, where I had the incredible opportunity to design a custom skateboard deck! As an artist, blending my creative vision with the world of skating was both exciting and challenging. In this post, I’m taking you behind the scenes to share how the collaboration came about, the process of creating the design, and what it’s like to work with such an amazing brand.
How It All Began
I’ve always had a deep appreciation for the skateboarding culture, but I never imagined that I would be designing a skateboard deck for a brand as iconic as Evolve Skateboards. The collaboration started when Evolve reached out to me, and we immediately clicked. Their team loved my artistic style and thought it would be a perfect fit for their innovative boards.
The Design Process: From Concept to Creation
The first step in the journey was figuring out what the deck should represent. Evolve Skateboards wanted something bold and visually striking, something that riders would want to showcase while cruising through the streets. Inspired by my love of abstract design and vibrant colours, I crafted a concept that combines elements of nature and urban street art.
Once I had the concept in place, the challenge was figuring out how to translate it onto the deck. I started with sketches, playing with the shapes and patterns, before finalizing it digitally. The design needed to flow seamlessly on the board while maintaining its visual impact from all angles.
The Reveal: A New Era in Skateboard Art
After months of work, the deck was complete, and I couldn’t wait to see it come to life. Evolve Skateboards launched it on their website, and the response was overwhelming! Seeing my design out in the world, being enjoyed by skateboarders, was truly a surreal moment.
What’s Next?
This collaboration has opened my eyes to the endless possibilities in the world of skateboard design. I’m grateful for the opportunity to work with such a forward-thinking brand and am excited to see where this journey takes me in the future.
